What to check and space to record the terms
Annual or recurring fee	Check whether a fee repeats and whether an introductory waiver expires.
Purchase interest	Check the purchase APR and when the grace period applies.
Balance transfer	Check the transfer fee, promotional period, and rate afterward.
Cash advance	Check both the transaction fee and the interest rules for advances.
Late payment	Read the fee and any penalty-rate conditions in the agreement.
Foreign transaction	Check whether purchases processed abroad carry a separate fee.
